Installation
Open the device with a screwdriver (unscrew the base plate). Insert four UM2 batteries into the built-in battery holder. When all four batteries have been inserted, the LED below the loudspeaker will flash approx. every 6 seconds. A flashing LED means the device is working. Screw the base plate back on and mount the device in the intended position. During installation, please ensure that splashing water (rainwater) cannot reach the device (install under the roof overhang, in a bird nesting box or similar, under a parked mobile home to deter mice). Ultrasonic tones spread like light – in a straight line. Where they are blocked by obstacles, shadows are cast (ultrasonic sound cannot be heard behind obstacles). The device must therefore be mounted such that the area to be covered by the ultrasound is as clear as possible. The built-in LED can be used to check whether the device is working. If you install the device under a mobile home to deter mice, remember to keep the grass short so that the ultrasonic sound is not obstructed.
